Alcon is located in India and has been manufacturing a series of high CV Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors, since 1977. Some years ago a new series of film capacitors was added to the manufacturing range.
Alcon is applying the latest technology and exacting quality management and assurance procedures in order to always deliver fines quality products. They are registered to ISO9001 by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

Custom-designed capacitors account 50% of Alcon's sales.

This requires an in-depth understanding of the application and knowledge of latest technologies. In aluminum electrolytic capacitors Alcon introduced the use of cold welded contacts, multiple tabbing, crimped can construction, low resistance electrolytes, low-density papers and high safety margin on the rated dielectric forming voltage. In polypropylene film-foil capacitors, impregneted elements eliminate corona from within the winding. These new technology concepts developed inhouse, help produce better capacitors for sophisticated and specialist applications.
